Shoreline Frontrunners of Long Beach (SFRLB) running club is an LGBTQ+ oriented running and walking club. SFRLB is part of the International Frontrunners club. SFRLB formed in 1984 with aims to better serve the running/walking community in the Long Beach/South Bay/Orange County areas. We promote amateur sports, exercise, and recreation, encourage, and assist in members’ pursuit of individual running/walking goals, their participation in race/sporting events, and promote camaraderie among LGBTQ+ runners, walkers and the community.

We support the community by creating a supporting environment open for everyone to join our running, walking and social activities. We organize community events like the Long Beach Pride Run, Santa Speedo Run, etc. to raise funds to support local LGBTQ+ organizations among them are the The Center Long Beach, The AIDS food store, the C.A.R.E foundation and more.

We have three weekly run/walk meetups – Tuesdays and Thursdays evening and Saturday mornings at 9am. Our primary meeting location (Tuesdays and Saturdays) in on the bluff at Redondo Ave. and Ocean Blvd. Thursday runs locations vary. Check out training page and calendar for more information.
We also have many social events such as happy hours, potlucks, progressive dinner, annual awards banquet and more.
