FAQ

The 34th Long Beach Pride Run

The Shoreline Frontrunners of Long Beach are proud to host the 34th annual Pride Run along the scenic Long Beach beach path. This is our club’s major fundraiser and all net proceeds are donated to local charities. The 2026 Pride Run beneficiaries are the CARE Project, The Center in Long Beach, The Aids Food Store, Gay For Good, The South Bay LGBTQ center, and L.A. Cada.
We really appreciate your support to making this event a success.

Unfortunately, we are not able to offer refunds.

Shoreline Frontrunners of Long Beach (SFRLB) is pleased to provide Official Race Timing by Negative Split Running. The chip will be part of your race bib. Please be aware that you must run across the chip timing device at the race start and finish to record your time and be eligible for an award.

Race Day Schedule

Online registration will end on 5/17/2026 at 11:59 PM.

6:30 AM – Bib pickup and same day registration opens.
7:30 AM – Pre-Race Warm up
7:45 AM – Pride sKIDaddle – 200ft dash for kids
8:00 AM – Race startup (5k and 10k)
9:00 AM – Awards ceremony starts
9:30 AM – Cut-off time for race.

Please be aware that the Pride Run is Sunday, the day of the Pride Parade.
All Participants in the Long Beach Pride Run must cross the finish line by 9:30 AM as the parade will start at approximately 10:00 AM. 5k walkers and 10k runners must finish within 90 minutes of the 8:00 AM race start time. The 10k race is for runners only so we can adhere to our 9:30 AM race completion time.

If you are planning on participating in the Long Beach Pride Parade you will have more than enough time to join your group in the line up or find your friends in the stands. If you want to watch the parade, the race start/finish area has been reserved for us as a viewing area. Bring chairs/blankets to sit on the grass and watch the parade.

Street parking is going to be limited to non-existent. Parking on Ocean Blvd. is prohibited along the pride parade route and setup area (Alamitos to Redondo) and the near by streets will be full as well.

We HIGHLY recommend arriving EARLY to look for parking further away and having ample time to walk down to Bixby park and Ocean Blvd., or using public transportation, ride share services or bikes and scooters.

Pedal Movement is providing free bike valet on site during the run. Take advantage and ride your bike to and from the run and avoid traffic and parking.

Race Course

Start and finish on Ocean Blvd. between Cherry and Junipero Ave.
Runners run down the ramp to Junipero parking lot and turn left towards Belmont pier. Turn back on the beach path and run towards downtown, passing the Junipero lot to the Pride Lifeguard Tower.
10k runners keep running on the beach path and around Alamitos marina, turning around on the Jetty, and returning to the Pride Lifeguard Tower.
Both 5k (Right) and 10k (Left, returning from the Jetty) take Bluff Pl. and 11th Pl. up towards Ocean Blvd. Right on Ocean for a 1/3 mile to the finish line.

Bag Check

We are happy to announce that a full bag check service will be available for registered runners this year. Bag check in and check out will be done based on bib number. All bags must be checked out by 10AM (Race is closed at 9:30AM).

Awards Ceremony

The race award ceremony will begin at 9:00 AM on the bluff at Junipero and Ocean. This will include the awarding of medals for the top 3 Male, Female and Non-binary winners in the 5k and 10k, and top 2 finishers in each age category: 19 & under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 & over.
